About the Event

Come celebrate the feast of St. Giles with us as this year (2020) marks the 1300 anniversary of his death.

St. Giles is considered protector of pilgrims: he was a man who was refusing honours and fame, and that was a strong intercessor through his prayer. He is also considered the protector of the poor, of the sick, of the shipwrecked, of the most vulnerable farmers.

As the charity that takes his name (Sant'Egidio in Italian means St. Giles), we want to celebrate together by inviting you to a special afternoon together. Come and hear of what we have done during the lockdown period and what we will continue to do for the marginalised in London. You'll also hear of how you can help by donating your time for others through volunteering on our brand new services which have changed since lockdown to be able to reach many and continue to befriend the lonely.

The afternoon will include multiple chances to ask questions, reflect upon St. Giles and Sant'Egidio (the charity) and find out more about our mission. Free lunch will be provided. An agenda will be given to you at the door.

Please come with mask and hand gel. We will be following governmental regulations with regards to physical distancing throughout the afternoon. Only registered guests will be allowed in as spaces are limited.
