About the Event
On the occasion of its 50th Anniversary, the Community of Sant'Egidio in London has great pleasure in inviting you to the Thanksgiving prayer in the presence of Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia.
Vincenzo Paglia
In a long career, Archbishop Paglia has been the ecclesiastical assistant of the worldwide
Community of Sant’Egidio as well as the postulator of the cause of beatification of the martyred
Archbishop of San Salvador, Oscar Arnulfo Romero. In 2000 he was ordained Bishop of Terni.
Since 2002, he has been president of the International Biblical Federation and from 2004 to
2009 he served as chairman of the Ecumenism and Dialogue commission of the Italian Bishops’
Conference. In 2012, Pope Benedict XVI made him an archbishop and appointed him as
president of the Pontifical Council for the Family. In 2016, Pope Francis appointed him to his
current roles.
We are very thankful we can celebrate the Community's 50th anniversary with him in London.

This will allow you to come to the prayer starting at 8pm. After the prayer, we will have some refreshments and this ticket allows you to come to the reception. Tickets are free - donations are very welcome.
